Our History
Winchester Gun Club has been a family-friendly shooting destination since it first opened on November 12, 1966, when Victor P. Joerndt founded the club as a Trap and Skeet facility.
Over the years, the club grew under the stewardship of his sons, Tom and Warren, expanding to offer tournaments, leagues, and introductory programs. In 1989, Tom became sole owner and added new disciplines, including Sporting Clays and 5-Stand.
After Tom and Warren passed, the club continued under the direction of Warren’s son, Victor T. Joerndt, with the support of his mother, Judy, and longtime employees Dan Pier and Rob Murphy. During this time, improvements included a heated 5-Stand trailer and upgrades to accommodate International Skeet and Bunker Trap.
In May 2025, the club entered a new chapter when it was purchased by Rob and Chelsea Chandler. Together with their daughters, Aubrey and Ali, they are excited to grow Winchester Gun Club and bring many new improvements to both the facilities and the member experience.

Summer 2025 Improvements:

A new Range LLC system is now active on Sporting Clays course! You can purchase as many targets as you’d like and head straight out to the course (non-league shooters only – no check-in required).

The and counter area has been updated to include a cleaner, more modern check-in system, as well as an expanded bar more seating and drink options.

We're now offering both 50- and 100-bird Sporting Clays options, giving you more flexibility when you come out to shoot.

Four-seater golf carts are now available — perfect for the longer course layout.

We’ve also upgraded to new Promatic machines, providing more diverse target presentations and fewer broken birds for a smoother experience.

The parking lot has been resurfaced and striped.

Brand new LVP flooring has been installed throughout building.
