Trap

Trap is one of the most recognized and widely enjoyed clay target sports. In this discipline, shooters face targets launched from a single trap house in front of them. The clays fly away at varying angles and heights, simulating the flight of a flushing bird. Shooters rotate through five stations, challenging their timing, accuracy, and consistency.

At Winchester Gun Club, we feature four full trap fields, each offering a unique background for a variety of shooting experiences. Every field is equipped with automated voice-release systems, making it easy for solo shooters or groups to enjoy a smooth round. For those seeking an extra challenge, we also provide space to shoot back to the 25-yard line. Whether you’re brand new to the sport or a seasoned competitor, our trap fields deliver a fun and rewarding experience.

Skeet

Skeet offers a dynamic mix of crossing and incoming shots as targets are launched from both a high house and a low house across the field. Shooters move through eight stations arranged in a semi-circle, giving them a wide range of target angles and trajectories. It’s a great way to sharpen reflexes and enjoy the thrill of moving targets.

At Winchester Gun Club, we offer three full skeet fields, all equipped with modern machines and carefully maintained grounds. For those looking to take on an added challenge, we also feature doubles skeet, where two targets are launched at once. Our staff are available to assist with pulling targets, ensuring that beginners, groups, and experienced shooters alike can enjoy the game safely and confidently.

Sporting Clays

Often called “golf with a shotgun,” sporting clays takes shooters through a course with multiple stations, each offering a different target presentation. From fast crossers to high incoming shots to bouncing rabbits, every station simulates a different type of bird or field scenario. No two rounds are ever the same, making it a favorite for all skill levels.

At Winchester Gun Club, we’ve expanded our sporting clays course to include both a 50-target and a 100-target option that winds through a beautiful wooded setting. The course runs on the Long Range LLC card system, allowing you to shoot at your own pace. We’ve also upgraded to Promatic machines for smoother operation and more dynamic target presentations. For added convenience, four-seater golf carts are available for rent, making the longer course accessible and enjoyable.

5 - Stand

5-Stand brings the excitement of sporting clays into a compact, action-packed format. Shooters rotate through five stations, each offering a unique mix of targets — crossers, rabbits, teals, and more. The constant variety keeps the game fast-paced and fun for individuals or groups.

At Winchester Gun Club, we offer seasonal 5-Stand options so the fun continues year-round:

Summer & Fall: One indoor and one outdoor 5-Stand setup.
Winter: Two heated indoor 5-Stand trailers, so shooting doesn’t stop when the snow flies.

Bunker Trap

Bunker Trap, also known as Olympic Trap, is the most challenging form of trap shooting. Targets are launched from a long bunker with 15 machines, producing faster speeds and sharper angles than American trap. It’s a true test of skill, timing, and focus — and the discipline used in Olympic competition.

Winchester Gun Club is proud to offer a full bunker trap setup, giving shooters the chance to train and compete at the highest level. Whether you’re an experienced bunker shooter or just curious to try, our range provides a thrilling challenge.

I - Skeet

International Skeet is the Olympic version of skeet shooting. Targets fly faster, at steeper angles, and with a random launch delay to keep shooters on edge. This discipline demands quick reflexes, precise accuracy, and sharp focus — making it a favorite for those seeking a true test.

At Winchester Gun Club, we offer a Bunker/I-Skeet combination field with the option of a second setup. We’re proud to give members and guests the opportunity to experience this exciting Olympic sport — the perfect way to challenge yourself and build advanced shooting skills.
